Ivan had mentioned that the AAC version included with 5.5.10.28 were quite old and he would get them updated for the next release which is 5.5.10.35. I believe this includes the new HE profile (which is AAC + SBR) could anyone confirm this?

Didn't find anything like that sad.gif

I presume that we all have to wait for the Nero Digital Beta. If I remember correctly Menno (Ivan's co-developer at Ahead) mentioned something like beta in June, final in July in an other thread.

Talk about getting it straight from the horse's mouth.

Do any of you guys know what the difference is between between the aac.dll and the aacenc32.dll? In other words, what are their respective functions? Just curious, thanks.

Simplified: aacenc32.dll is the codec, aac.dll is the gui for the encoder.
