I can't stand headphones because you lose the imagining. It seems like someone could make a nice plug in for win amp that could convert the stereo recording to a binaural one.
Somethign that would basically add the right channel minus the head shadow effect to the left channel, and then do the same for the other channel.

Theoretically it's not possible to get binaural recording from intensity stereo recording. What you can do is using crossfeed plugin that simulate hearing to the loud speaker.
