As recommended by this forum I'm using LAME 3.90.3 with --alt-preset standard.
I'm using exactly the same LAME compilation and settings, but the output files from EAC and RazorLame are not bit identical.
Why is this happening? huh.gif
Is one of them passing other parameters to LAME then the --alt-preset standard?

Thanks,

Is EAC adding any tagging info?

Do you have %s %d at the end of your custom command string?

No tag info... and no %s %d... what are they for? unsure.gif

I did another test with LameDrop and it produced bit identical files if compared to RazorLame.
So I conclude that EAC is really passing some other parameters to LAME beside the --alt-preset standard.
Any one knows what parameter is that and how could I avoid this?
I would like to encode directly with EAC, but I will have to choose RazorLame as I don't know what's happening with the command line options.

PS: If I use %s %d at the end of my custom command string (before the --alt-preset standard) it produces some kind of error message (that I could not read) and nothing is encoded. I have only the --alt-preset standard in the "additional command line options".
Btw, my EAC is v0.95 prebeta 3 from 11 May 2003.
