I've been haveing ASPI problems seince i reinstalled windows a couple weeks ago. I tried to rip soem CDs, but my drive didn''t show up in EAC or CDex, so I donwloaded the newest ASPI layer i could find and same problem.
At that point i went with the native win32 interface, witch worked untill today. Now i get an error complaing that the native win32 interface no longer works in CDex and EAC just crashes.
So now i'm stuck cuz neither lay works... Anyone know hwo to fix this?

This is one time where tried and true is what you want. look for force aspi (4.60). yes i know adaptec says not for xp but...they are the same people saying 4.7x is working. i think you can ask anyone here and they will agree. i tried 4.7 4.71 4.71a on xp and it didn't pan out. used force aspi and fine ever since. my 2 cents.

Actually for ASPI 4.7x, all you need is a registry patch called "FixASPI" to make the drives visible. Try to search it in google.

It's better to use the "Installed external ASPI interface" in EAC. DL'ing the ASPI from the Ahead (Nero) site and placing it in the EAC dir fixed a similar problem I had with my Yam F1 ext drive.
