Is there any way to show the number of plays for a song ? or can get a Top Hits playlist
which can tracks the 100 files that have been played most often.

Someone would have to write a plugin. There is no built-in method for such a thing.

Guess u could use AudioScrobbler for that (if u have a permanent internet connection, that is)

thanks for the link, but the problem is i dont have permanent internet connection

It works for dial-ups also (or at least it works here ). The plugin caches the songs played and submits then when you're connected to the internet.
