not likely, since you would have to pay Real a lot of money for the codecs.

Actually, this would probably be pretty easy. Media Player Classic supports Real Media and even Quicktime, through the use of the respective ActiveX controls. You have to install Real Player in order to get the control, though.

I suppose that with proper codecs installed, it would be possible to make a plugin for that (since MPC can do it).
But I am not sure that someone is interested in making it.

Hi,

Are there similar plugins for Foobar2000 like Tara RealAudio plugin for Winamp? If not, it would be great if someone could write one. I personally loathe anything related to RA but am driven by necessity to access RA material since many archived newsclips and documentaries are in RA format.

Comments?

Thanks.

is such plugin hard to make?
i think many people must be waiting for it for a long time. biggrin.gif

Tara is one plugin for Winamp. Innover's is another. Both require RealPlayer be installed as it uses Real's engine, but not the GUI. The only one I know of that does not require Real is the RealAlternative plugin for Media Player Classic. Of course, Real has threatened legal action against them, although I am not sure if they have followed through.
