Full Version: .CFG Adapter Profiles vs. --alt-preset standard

Hi, I have a typical newbie question...

I downloaded the .cfg profiles [Adapter0,1,2&3] made by Chris Myden. My driver uses the Adapter1.

Chris said that: "This .CFG file contains what I believe to be the best options for EAC. Obviously you can decide for yourself, but this will get you up and running. Using this configuration will ensure that your rips are 100% perfect, and you are using the highest quality MP3 switches with the LAME encoder."

So the question is: what is the difference between the Adapter profiles and the --alt-preset standard ??
Are the profiles Adapter preconfigured options for EAC that also use --alt-preset standard??
Which is the difference between Adapter 0, 1, 2 & 3 ??

Thank you smile.gif

(This profile can be downloaded from this article @ cd-rw.org) Not sure everyone knows what you're talking about and who Chris Myden is.

>what is the difference between the Adapter profiles and the --alt-preset standard ??

All the adaptaters do use --alt-preset standard, so there's no difference.

>Are the profiles Adapter preconfigured options for EAC that also use --alt-preset standard??

Yes, the profiles are configured for --alt-preset standard.

>Which is the difference between Adapter 0, 1, 2 & 3 ??

Looks there aren't any. I've tried them all with no difference.

You can also read "A very simple Exact Audio Copy & LAME MP3 encoder setup guide" @ cd-rw.org.
