Hi, I play mp3 cue files whith mp3cue 0.94 plugin for Winamp2 and I've been noticing that in same songs, the start time of them is not so exactly, I mean, when I select a song from the mp3cue plugin window, the song does not start from the exact begining, sometimes after and sometimes before.

Do you know why?
Is this normal or maybe there's something wrong with the gaps detection of my drive?

Thank you very much

Are you using VBR MP3?
burnett_s
Yes sure, I use --alt-preset standard

I use winamp classic and mp3cue plugin as well. But instead mp3s, i use .flac with my cuesheets and never had any problems.
Did you create your cuesheet with EAC? And how do you know the track start is not exact? Did you compare it against the individual mp3s?

I think VBR is not relevant at all. If there's something wrong, it's probably the gap detection, yes.

Winamp doesn't have sample accurate seeking for MP3 files, on long VBR MP3s there are huge seeking accuracy problems.

Are those problems within the Nullsoft in_mp3 plug-in? If so, does the MAD plug-in solve them?

Ok, so, Winamp and long VBR mp3s are the problems here? Not the gaps detection of my drive?

Do you know another program that can handle long VBR mp3s fine wit cue sheets?

Thank you

Absolutely right Case, Winamp was the problem.

Absolutely right _Shorty, I used foobar and everything was ok, all the songs started from the exact start time.

Thank you so much for all your answers. smile.gif
