Hi while searching for available mp3 directshow decoder filters i found this message on the mad developer maillist! there a guy called Armin Gerritsen wrote that he already started to code such a filter (based on mad) but never released any sources/links or so...

so i wanted to ask if someone knows something about this issue cause an opensource directshow filter (perhaps based on mad) would be great

Milan Cutka (the author of ffdshow) already started a ffdshow Audio Decoder, it will contain a MPEG-Audio decoder, which is most likely MAD (probably the mp3-decoder of mplayer, but I said to him he should use MAD, because it´s the most compatible/best/fastest decoder). It will also decode WMA and some other formats.
