I read your post in the thread "noob needs help with Foobar settings". You mentioned a "high quality power supply" for the Revo. Can you tell me more about that?. I have A Revo 7.1,Foobar 2000, Yahama CRW F1E, and modified Videologic Siroccos,(W XP Pro,P IV 2.66,1 GB RDRAM).
I am interested in the upgraded? power supply for the Revo, and anything else to improve the sound, for modest outlay of cash.
I read with interest your comments about resampling. I am trying to determine the best settings for the above combo for commercial cds primarily and later, music downloads.
Thanks for any help

The power supply I have now is a Antec Trupower supply. If I remember correctly the voltages it supplies vary less than with other good supplies.
To my ears the sound produced by the Revo is better with this supply than a £15 generic ebuyer supply i had before - tighter base etc. Both the £15 supply and the Antec give considerably better sound in my experience when paired with the Revo (and also a Xitel Hifi link I was using before) than the supply that came with the original pre-assembled computer. (Indeed whilst the HiFi link is inferior compared to the Revo in my experience, the Hifi link + Antec is better than the Revo + original psu to my ears). Non of this testing conformed to technical ABX standards (fitting and removing a PSU is tricky after all), but I am confident that these were the results on my system and according to my ears.
As a caveat - how much improvement you see may depend on the quality of your mains supply (reviews of mains cleaners in HiFi magazines often note this). I suspect my mains is very noisy.

Thanks for the reply. I thought you were talking about a mod to the power supply on the Revo board. I have an Enermax 480 and good clean power,(socket hard wired back to the mains box).
I have the settings in Foobar at 24 bit fixed point dithered to 32 bit and ASIO output. The Revo is input is set to 44.1. It will not stay any where else? ASIO buffer size is 512 for latency. Is this right?
Thanks for any other suggestions.
