Hi,

I'm pretty new to the world of audio compression, and could definitely use some help getting started. I just downloaded EAC, but can't figure out how to get it to work properly.

I put an audio CD in my CD ROM drive (The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper) and am trying to rip some MP3s, but am having problems.

Under the "Action" menu, I selected "Copy selected tracks...compressed" and it looked to be making the file. An icon then showed up on my desktop with the name of the song, saying it was an MP3, but when I played it, there was no audio.

Also, it said the encoding rate was 32 kbps. How can I change this to 128?

Thanks for any help. I appreciate it.

We all had to start somewhere. Maybe soon, you'll have somthing to write in this thread.

and if your cd-rom is Plextor, try Plextools. It's advanced ripping only works with their own branded drives.
