I think the update doesn't really get lost, it should still get updated next time playback stops as long as you don't reload info (for technical reasons I made it not flush update queue when advancing tracks, I think I'm going to change this).
Ahh, I see, and you're correct about the update happening on playing stopped. I ran a test letting the album play to end and stop by itself, the file was updated.

3 small problems:
1) playlist search: when i search for exemple " Björk " or "Noir Désir" no results are found because ö é characters aren't recognized.
2) when seeking , flickering of status bar (sometime, very clear with complicated formatting, less clear with standard formatting.)
3) when "skip silence" is activated, when silence is skipped, time displayed in status bar isn't true.

.7b9, XP: Replaygain scanner causes error when scanning one (mp3) file with track gain:
"An error occured while processing files."
The progressbar stops near the end (99%), then the error is displayed. Can be reproduced, even with a fresh download and all defaults.
Can't reproduce (file-specific ?)

Found the problem: the Replaygain scanner seems to be dependant on foo_dsp_extra.dll. I didn't install the extra DSP components, so RG scan didn't work (I assume this dependancy is normal behavoir?).

That would be a bug then (rgscan uses resampler for unsupported samplerates), but it should still work without foo_dsp_extra.

Should work with "proper" .pls files written by Winamp, which have slightly different syntax.
Beta12 with new SDK posted, components made with older 0.7 SDKs no longer work.

Also if I select two or more files and right click on them and select Play in foobar2000 nothing happens. If I select only one file and do the same the file is opened and played. Doubleclicing on a file also starts playing it in foobar2000.
Still not fixed in Beta 12.

Hmm, forgot that fb2k itself writes .pls too (or rather, writes m3u files with pls extension).

Bug in 0.7 beta 12?
Using the masstagger's rename files ability the following code produces an error:
\%artist%\$if(%album%,%artist% - %album%\)%artist%[ - Disc %disc%][ - %tracknumber%] - %title%
The previev looks something like:
\'artist'\[SYNTAX ERROR...]\[SYNTAX ERROR...]...
If I remove the \ from inside the $if(..) part of the code it works but that's not what I want :-). The same problem occurs if I put the \ inside brackets, [ ], or whatever they are called. For example [ - %album%\] also produce an error
I tried using / instead of \ but that doesn't work either...
This problem has never occured before in 0.6x or 0.7b9 or earlier...
Not a bug, title formatting strings are now split into directory/file names before processing, to prevent path separator chars inside tags from causing trouble.

That plugin's just meant to show that the vis system works, not to be a fully-fledged vis plugin. Wait until more people code some visualizations and this problem ought to fix itself.
As a side (and perhaps technical) note: Why does the spectrum drop off the way it does in the vis plugin?
It displays full spectrum it gets from FFT, droput indicates lowpassing in lossy formats (doesn't occur with losslessly-encoded files).

Hm strange. I now installed Beta 13. On all three computers I have the same bug. On one of them this is a clean install of the foobar2000. What could I be doing wrong? Is there any way to completely delete all foobar2000 file associations and create totaly new ones or is this overwrite already done with installer?

Are the files associated with foobar at all? Does foobar launch properly when you double click one of the files in that directory?

No need to delete anything in registry, that fooassoc program takes care of everything.
Yup I selected all files to be associated with foobar2000 and they all open properly if i double click them. They also open if I just select ONLY ONE file and then in the context menu select Play with foobar 2000 or Enqueue. But if I select multiple files none of this context menu commands work. And also the Play All comand in Windows Explorer doesn't work. Foobar2000 doesn't even open in these cases.

So it's not a logarithmic display? That would explain what I see...

Multimedia key does not work properly in FB2k v0.7 beta 13. Using a Microsoft Natural Multimedia Keyboard, key works fine in Winamp and other applications.
The Play/Pause key does not work properly. It appears as if pressing the key results in the file being paused then unpaused (if the file is already playing). If nothing is playing, hitting the play/pause key results in the file being started to play, then pausing immediately (there is no noise, but Fb2k says it is being played and the current position of the file stays at 0:00)

There was a problem with file associations, fixed installers are uploaded and fixed
fooassoc is also available.
While I was trying to solve the Play All and context menu problem with multiple files (still doesn't work properly with foobar2000 even in beta 16 and I tried almost anything I could think of) I found some Microsoft document that could be of use in another problem I had:
Error Message "Unable to Find Playable File" in Windows Media Player for Windows XPI think this should be handled when making file associations for audio file during foobar2000 installation.
