Here's my question, with albumlist is it possible to have it look like this based on the directory structure?

CODE

Elvis Costello
|-Get Happy
|-Imperial Bedroom
 |-CD1
 |-CD2

See the problem is my music is organised like this
Drive\Music\Alphabet\Artist\Album\CD#
ie.
F:\Music\E\Elvis Costello\Get Happy
F:\Music\E\Elvis Costello\Imperial Bedroom\CD1

If I use this for the Albumlist settings,
Tree Hierarchy: [$directory(%_path%,2)]| [$directory(%_path%,1)]
Sorting Order: $directory(%_path%,2) - $directory(%_path%,1) - %_filename%

It looks like this
CODE

Elvis Costello
|-Get Happy
...
...
...
Imperial Bedroom
|-CD1
|-CD2

That's happening because of the $directory function. How would you get around this?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You could try to make the it look like this:
CODE
Elvis Costello
|-Get Happy
|-CD1
|-Imperial Bedroom
|-CD1
|-CD2

The albumlist does not allow for a tree with varying height. That's because your formatting string is split at | before evaluating it for a song.

If you use tags for artist, album and discnumber, you could use something like this for the tree hierarchy:
CODE
[%artist%]|[%album%]|CD$if2(%disc%,1)
