Why can foobar rename read-only files, but it can't write tags to ro files?
I find it should inform me at least that it failed to write to file, I don't use database.
I would wish that foobar stops playing from a file if it wants to write to it and restarts playing at last position.

Check the console. Copy the output to a text editor if you need to search through it.

Because that's the way Windows works.

Read-only means no writing. Read-only has nothing to do with renaming permissions.

ah, I checked it again yet, I can't rename read-only files with foobar too.
Ok, another question. If a file is being played and the user wants to update the file info, this is not done immediately but queued, nice idea. I would like to have the same behaviour for renaming a file. Often I load an just downloaeded album in foobar, start listen to it and I want to do some manipulations on it, renaming the files inclusive. But I have to stop playback before I rename the files, thats not comfortable :)
