I am looking for some free Fax to E-Mail providers, which should also be reachable from abroad. The reason is that I don't have a Fax machine at home and I am using Fax registration for COPPA beside E-Mail.

They used to be USA-based, but they now offer worldwide numbers, so you should be able to get a local number (at least in your country - in fact they do offer Karlsruhe ). Their free accounts send you a low volume of advertising emails (I get ~2/month), which is reasonable, I think, for a free fax number. Paid accounts allow you to send faxes via email, and no advertising, but that's about US$13/month + usage fees.

Anyway, I have got a question: I have just read the following help file and was wondering if I understood everything correctly. If I have selected Karlsruhe, does it mean that if you want to send me a Fax, for example, it would cost you as much as a telephone call to Karlsruhe? Also, would you have to add any prefix, or is the Fax number exactly the one displayed during the registration?
