I don't know if you have heard, but I was listening to the radio where I heard that UK has a Gay Bishop!

What are your opinions on this matter ?
ErikS
On what? That he's british, gay or a bishop? What is there to discuss about any of those?

Some of the comments which I can remember from the radio station in UK:

1. Against the Laws of nature
2. Disgusting
3. Why
4. Mental Disorder
5. Childhood trauma
6. People becoming to weak and just accepting the wrong
7. Just down right wrong

And many more.

I am not english native, so I am sorry, but don't know what does bishop means... what is it?

I smell bullshit.

1. Against the Laws of nature.....
Which laws? Breeding laws? No one ever managed to breed using oral sex, does this make oral sex wrong? Homosexuality is just a waterdrop in the sea of components in life that goes against nature. Natures laws are of no value in modern life.

2. Disgusting
***

3. Why
What is the question?

4. Mental Disorder
***

5. Childhood trauma

6. People becoming to weak and just accepting the wrong
Who says it's wrong?

7. Just down right wrong
Refer to 6.

Moderation: No personal insults. Thank you

A bishop is a high ranking Christian priest.
Since many (if not most) Christians have strong prejudice against all sexual minorities, it's quite strange that a homosexual man could manage to get into such a position.
Well, it's a funny situation... assuming the news is true. biggrin.gif

Oh, it's true. He was appointed as the Bishop of Reading, which is about 12 miles from where I live. blink.gif

So what?
Imo much more weird is the known reputation of many catholic priests in certain other area... Heck, this "gay bishop" should be nothing compared to that. It really doesn't hurt anybody wether the bishop is gay or not, and it's his own business anyway. But what many of these catholic priests are doing, that is truely horrifying.

define many, what percentage of the priests are doing something horrifying, I mean, you cannot say a lot of people do this because you've heard 10-12 cases on the TV. Do you have any idea how many priests are there?

Why are you insulting me?

They are some of the quotes I remembered while I was listening to the radio! Other radio listeners phones into that radio station and made them comments

You are probably smelling your own shit.

I can safely say, you are the *** person I have ever had a discussion with. Anyone who says "Natures laws are of no value in modern life", has to be ***.

For example, the laws of physics are laws of nature, where would you be without gravity, for instance?

So, please do not reply, I do not want to speak to such an insulting and pathetic person.

Homosexuals has never been able to bend the breeding law. But there is no love-law, and that is what homosexuality is about.

In the year of 2003, there are still many people who believes sex was made for the sole purpose of reproducing. I am sick and tired of people who continuesly mix love, sex and offspring together.

Gays have love and sex. They have no offspring.
Nature has a law on offspring, but there are no laws on love and sex. Only mean intolerant outdated misguiding prejudice.

Eventually science might be able to bend the rule of gravity - and the rule of offspring, but I have great doubts about the second one.

That does sound horrifying, any examples?

I'm sad to see that once again members of HA are unable to discuss a sensitive topic.
