Full Version: HE-AAC in Nero still does regular AAC?

Probably a ignorant question, but I'm thinking of buying Nero now (it'll save $20 bucks off of waiting for 6) and my main purpose is to create aac files from waves for my IPOD. My two questions:

1. Will Nero 6 still support the encoding used by apple (pre he-acc)?

2. Will Nero 6 have tagging capabilities so when I encode all these WAVs, I'll be able to tag them to be compatible with the IPOD?

Finally, how do the current capabilities of Nero relate to the above questions. What is the workflow with the current version to get AACs on ones IPod?

kind regards,

1. Nero6 will support both HE AAC and LC AAC, HE AAC will be default for low bit rates (< 96 kbps, or < 225 kbps for 5.1) and LC AAC for higher bit rates - but user can choose whatever he wants for low bit rates as well

2. Yes, tagging will be compatible with Apple format (iPod, iTunes...)
