Full Version: New FB2K user, one question/couple of annoyances.

When first starting the application, the window takes up most of my display (1600x1200), forcing me to resize the window each time.

I've tried version 0.666 and 0.7 beta 9 (currently using for foo_id3v2 module), no changes. I see options for window transperency but something "obvious" like remembering window positions and sizes seems missing or I'm really blind. Opening the "Album" window positions the buttons below the Windows XP taskbar if the placement of the main foobar window is near the bottom on my display as well.

In the Preferences, there are buttons to "Reset all" and "Close". But if you make a change to the settings, there isn't an obvious way of undoing or canceling the changes, such as a "Cancel" button. Either that or make "Reset all" into "Reset" so that it doesn't reset the changes for the entire program, as it appears to be doing presently.

Thanks.

Please state your basic hardware details.

Anyway, there is an option to 'Remember window positions' in Preferences > Display dialog. Same dialog screen as the transparency option. (FB2k 0.667)

Cool, that helps somewhat. Musta missed that setting!

peter: maybe you should make this setting (remember pos.) set by default. rolleyes.gif

I agree with this... I think either a "cancel" button or "reset page" would be a good thing to add. A "reset page" button, as opposed to "reset" button would just reset the current settings page the user is on. Also, the "close" button could be renamed to "save and close"...

Not really a big deal, but couldn't hurt... wink.gif

Not possible. The config design doesn't allow such things to be added.

Urm, anything is possible with code! tongue.gif

IMHO that was bad news sad.gif
Would it be possible to remove it from every page? No fun to hit that button by accident...

edit: Did not mean remove them all, but most of them... smile.gif
