I want to use "aacenc -extreme" and get quality sound.
What the others formats can get same quality with same size?

Mp3 is a bit bigger with --alt-preset standard but its guarenteed quality and is equal to -extreme, if not better. MPC quality 7 or 8 are the smallest filesizes i've ever seen on any format and full transparency (the quality can not be matched!) smile.gif

Do you have proof or that, or are just inventing that information?

You can try Hybrid Lossless compression in this case. Wavpack's or OptimFrog's DS

I did ABX testing for making sure that lame --alt-preset standard is fine for me and I was surprised that psytel's "normal" setting created a metallic artefact similar to WMP, which was not present in samples created with lame nor psytel "streaming" setting. (I can't hear high frequencies.) It seems psytel wants more that it can handle and MPC goes for the opposite.
I am a firm believer, that the source we get is already "rotten" by all sorts of signal processing before it gets onto CD/DVD media. For example, my sorce was from DVD 48kHz 16 bit PCM. So what is your goal? Preserve the sound quality of the media or (have to) accept some loss from the live/studio sound? So I suggest you do an ABX test also and pick accordingly. Or just go "extreme" and use lossless.
