Hi I'm newbie and I never used files mpc before. Now I've got some music from friend and they are mpc files. Can somebody help me and tell me how can I convert mpc to wave or mp3 files. By the way, what player I have to use to lisen mpc files
Just know that the quality loss will be greater when going from original->mpc->mp3 than original->mp3. Think of a copy machine making a copy of a copy.
Encoding from a lossy source such as mpc to another lossy format, aka transcoding, is generally not a good idea.
Other transcoding software: "all2lame" and "frontah". Use the search to find more info about them.

Don't use the word "convert". Say transcode. That way your not kidding yourself.

Is there a reason why you want to transcode the mpc files to mp3?
I can understand if you want to use them on a portable mp3 player, but I can't understand why you would want to do that for playing on your pc?
What player do you use to play your mp3 files?
If its winamp you can get the mpc plugin from here!

When someone asks this, they usually just *cough* "found" *cough* them that way .
Foobar2000 with the CLI encoder does a good job, along with the other programs recommended here. B-)

If you are looking for an MPC player, it's either WinAMP or Foobar2000.
