I'm newbie and I never used files mpc before. Now I've got some music from friend and they are mpc files. Can somebody help me and tell me how can I convert mpc to wave or mp3 files. By the way, what player I have to use to lisen mpc files

Just know that the quality loss will be greater when going from original->mpc->mp3 than original->mp3. Think of a copy machine making a copy of a copy.

Encoding from a lossy source such as mpc to another lossy format, aka transcoding, is generally not a good idea.

Other transcoding software: "all2lame" and "frontah". Use the search to find more info about them.

Don't use the word "convert". Say transcode. That way your not kidding yourself.

Is there a reason why you want to transcode the mpc files to mp3?

I can understand if you want to use them on a portable mp3 player, but I can't understand why you would want to do that for playing on your pc?

What player do you use to play your mp3 files?

Foobar2000 with the CLI encoder does a good job, along with the other programs recommended here. B-)

If you are looking for an MPC player, it's either WinAMP or Foobar2000.
