Full Version: Anti-virus Scanners And Flac Files

I have just gotten into Virus scanners. I know...or at least I think I know....that they uncompress files to scan for viruses. Does this mean a Ant-Virus program will drepcompress a FLAC file and then Recompress it? And if it does will this mess up or degrade the quality of the FLAC file? This might be a stupid question, but I have find out and make sure.

Thanks,

Don't worry:

The unpacking engine only works for EXE ZIP RAR CAB...etc... and not for audio compression algorythms.
It doesn't change the quality of your FLAC files and doesn't modify any EXE ZIP RAR... files too.
