Mpc/Ape file support using APEv2 tags. Includes all standard & proposed fields plus user defined fields and lyrics.

Reads APEv1/v2 and writes APEv2. Also can remove ID3v1 from mpc files. Encode to/from mpc.

Playlists can be opened in rename/tag panels.

File/path resolution when opening playlists is a lot smarter now.

Special 'Rename To..' functionality, copy or move files to a new location with new names.

Restructure produces a log which can be saved in many formats.

Find duplicates parameters are now available to the end user.

Some GUI changes, filters are in their own floating window and are applied to all parts of the program, manual edit grid has a toolbar, Full ID3v2/Ogg/Ape edit dialogs have save & next/Previous buttons and more shortcut keys.

Fixes ( Better reading of ID3v2 lyrics/comments frames, several multi file support corrections, encoder now displays estimated time correct at all situations, couple of fixes in online grid, installer fixes, small GUI corrections/enhancements here and there..)

This program is very good, but I have a couple minor gripes with it. I used it the first time and didn't bother checking the options first. So when it automatically recapitalized everything, I was a little annoyed. For anyone who wants to leave their capitalization settings intact, be sure to go to the options first.
Second, the tokens don't work quite as well as I'd like. I name my files in the format: <Artist> - <Album> - <Track> - <Title>.mp3, which sounds like the separator between them should be " - ". However, I can only use tokens if I set the separator to "-", which means that any bands with hyphens in them get all messed up. Thus, I currently use a combination of The Godfather and MP3/Tag Studio for my tagging purposes.
Since I ranted first, I'll get into what I love about The Godfather. Online lookup with both AMG and freedb works very well, and being able to filter searches based on the existence of tags is excellent work. If you'd disable the replacement matrix and case fix by default, I would have been much appreciative the first time I jumped into the program. Overall, very good program!

Quite a powerful program, but the UI/help-files should be rewritten (that latter from scratch!). And no, this isn't my first attempt to use an MP3-manager..

Also, I second the "token" issue. What happens when you create filenames such as: "Artist - Album (Year) - TrackNumber - Track.mp3" where there's not just one type of token? (parentheses, as well as from "-")

PS: So far, the best, most straight-forward MP3 manager I have stumbled upon is MP3tag -- of course, it doesn't have as many functions, but it does what it's supposed to, easily and efficiently.

Why not APe2 tags support for mp3? foobar2000 users like me would love it rolleyes.gif

Great looking program! Lots of potential! There are a few reasons I can't use it.

I have more than one type of separator in my filenames. Can you add support for more? Or better yet, accept any that is included in the "scheme".

I have more than 5 tokens in my filenames. All are in the filename, I don't use folder names for my tagging. There are more than 5 tag fields; why only support 5 tokens?

I too would appreciate having options to change things turned off to start with. If I want the program to make changes, I should have to tell it to first.

Ogg encoding has no provisions for the advanced encode options. I could add them to a command line but that isn't there either. When I change the quality setting for a custom preset, it keeps changing back to "3".

I'm using ogg and ape. When I create User Defined Fields, where do they show up?

With a few tweaks and mods, this could be a fantastic tool!
