Is there any way, from the user-side of a shared internet connection (not server-side) that you can actually allocate more bandwidth to one particular computer (i.e. mine...)? In other words, I live in fear of a dorm with hundreds of users sharing a 1.5mbps connection, and am attempting to prepare for it. Any suggestions?
(Yeah, I know, It's not fair, and it assumes my needs are more important than everyone else's. I would just like to make the point perfectly clear, that my needs really ARE more important.
