Why is vbr-old removed if it performs better than vbr-mtrh on average? Is it because the new vbr will perform better than vbr-old (since it's not vbr-mtrh, but rather only based on it)?

Hrm.. I would think it's not the right time to talk about Lame 4.0. Takehiro got pretty pissed when John33 built an alpha compile and the rumormill started running.

Besides, it's still in alpha stage, vbr-old might return if proven appropiate.

OT: I couldn't PM you back.

I was a little unsure too posting about Lame 4.0, since it's angered people in the past. Better to lock the thread for now, until Takehiro decides to accept questions, since he's the best qualified to answer this question (I think).

OT: I couldn't receive your PM because I just updated my email address and I haven't validated it yet because my email is down (thanks, myrealbox).
