Can it be done, (just like the ogg vorbis codec made for win.mediaplayer). It will for sure make the MPC format more used. Is the work in progress...

i think it can be done, but i never heard of any work in progress filter for wmp (most experienced users are not interessted in/hate ph34r.gif wmp , i think)

But, Media Player Classic is amazing. An MPC filter would be great for MPC. wink.gif Not to mention the Matroska/OGM consequences of such a filter.

What are they? The ability to put the mpc audio stream into an ogg/matroska container?

My eksample.:
A year ago I bought DRS2006, who uses the filter's in wmp. It just "kills" me not to be able to play the best there is - MPC. The sound is amazing...

But perhaps one day sad.gif

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think you are confusing.
MPC doesn't stand here for Media Player Classic, the video player that look like Windows Media Player 7 (but is better).
MPC is an audio codec (formerly MPP or MP+).
MPC has different meaning whether you are @HA or @doom9... wink.gif
And you're right: Media Player Classic is amazing.

BTW, I've never heard anything about an MPC plugin for WMP. AFAIK, the only ways to listen to MPC tracks are either Winamp (with plugins) or foobar2000.

(Media Player Classic uses DirectShow for rendering files.)
