Hi all,
Does anyone have information about the PNS tool for the AAC encoder? Also I would like to know where I can find source code for this tool.
b.t.w anyone thinks this a "necessary" tool for the encoder?

MPEG-4 reference software contains example PNS tool implementation. However, this software is very low quality and the PNS implementation is not perceptually controlled.
PNS is not required and I think the performance gain is not too big. However, for certain signal types and very low bitrates PNS could improve coding quality.
