Editing signatures appears to have broken quite royally..

If you use any bbcode in your signature, then try to edit it, it gets converted to <html> smile.gif

Thing is, I then try to edit it (making the changes I wanted, and replace the html tags with bbcode again) and it shows up unformatted with the tags printed in the preview box.. as though bbcode were disabled?

I wonder if it shows up ok on the bottom of my post dry.gif

Formatting for sigs was turned off some time ago.

Was formatting turned back on since then, and then turned off again recently? Because formatting in my sig was working up until today. And I didn't already have it since May (registered on July 1st), and I've edited it several times in the past two weeks with no problems.

No big deal...I can do without formatting...just curious, that's all.

I realize I was a borderline sig-abuser with a ten-line signature when I first started here, but I've since attended a 12-step signature abuse program and learned the evil of my ways...hence the one-liner now... smile.gif

Formatting was probably turned back on when the forum software was updated.. then turned off when an admin remembered.

I have a question, if you use HTML code in your sig,, does it get converted to text too?

yes. You can't use html.

Can certain tags be allowed without enabling them all?

For instance, the [url] tags actually serve to shrink people's sigs.
