Hi. I have a weird CD-Rom question that I hope someone will be able to answer.

Today my dad installed a new hard drive and also put in a new mother board. Well, everything is up and running correctly. However, I am having one problem. Whenever I install Easy CD Creator 5 for him, it installs and then restarts the computer. Once the computer restarts the CD-Rom drive is still listed, but when you click on it you can see the files listed on the CD. This happens for every CD you put in.

So, I uninstalled the program and restarted and the CD-Rom works properly again. I then installed Nero and it does not cause this problem to happen. I am hoping he will switch to Nero, but he swears by Easy CD Creator. :-/

Any thoughts on what may be going on? Thanks for any help.

Not sure what you mean by works properly again - like when you put in an audio CD it plays it automatically?

Usually when you click on the CD-ROM drive in explorer (or equivalent) it will list the content of the CD

I fixed the problem. Had to download an update from the Roxio website.
