hi all, i am studying the code in FAAC. i got the old working codes in my hand. i find that in the new versions, there is a new psych model. even the original ISO model is removed.

can anyone tell me what're the differences between these two? what makes the new one better? huh.gif

I have a sample of the FAAC codes, but from my observations, it is still using the Psychoacoustic Model II.. Only some of the parameters may differ from ISO.

i am studying the code of 1.17beta version. how about you?
i note that the psych files have changed a lot in the previous year...old file psych.c is changed into two other files, then now only one left...so i wonder if it still keeps the ISO model blink.gif
