How many new members has HA acquired in the past 72 hours or so?

Methinks something very strange is going on -- I see a ton of "suspicious" threads, all started by people who appear to have joined in the past 3 days or so. In some cases, answered in strange ways by people who also appear to have joined in the past 3 days or so. Case in point:

Maybe this has something to do with the changeover in forum software, I don't know. Am I just getting paranoid?

There were a few spammer attacks, which now hopefully have been dealth with.

There have been issues with the "Falcon4" person reregistering and spamming back, but as far as we're aware of, all of his identities have been removed, and any further attempts to spam the board will result in immediate admin response.

There is no conspiracy.
It's just one idiot (Falcon4) that is creating this problem.
He should be banned from Winamp also.
I've reported his crap to mods and admin,
but things don't happen as fast there as they do here.
To bad peter doesn't have banning capabilites there anymore.
We'd be rid of him by now.

On a related note; I see that BigIzz is member #7837, yet the board statistics say there are 7137 members. Does this mean there are 700 banned/unregistered members?

Heh.. no, we don't have 700 banned members.
Maybe half dozen. But there are lots of people who never validated their registeration, but they still got a member id.
