What's the best way to reencode mpc files to mp3 without having to go through the trouble of decoding everything to space consuming wave files, encoding and then manually adding all the ID3 Tags?

I'm sure many of you encountered this problem since mpc is not commonly supported by mp3 players (and this is the main reason for my doing this) so if there's already been a similar topic please direct me to it as i couldn't find anything that would help me.

Thx.

Try using foobar & the diskwriter, it even copies the tags over biggrin.gif
forum search for details...

EDIT: you'll need cases foo_clienc as well

On the left of the portal page there is a link to RareWares which hosts loads of useful files for encoding and decoding..

There is a direct transcoder on this page which should do the trick for you smile.gif

You can also take a look at dBpowerAMP. Right-click on the file(s) you want to transcode, and select the output format (and options). The tags will come along.
