Full Version: seamless cd audio?

On certain audio, usually live recordings, the
music flows from start to end without
breaks yet one is able to bounce around selecting
tracks. Is there a tool to record as such and mark
track points rather than having to chop up
your source file into pieces?

Many thanks if you can help

if You mean seamless playback of a compressed file, try mp3cue:
http://www.guerillasoft.com/mp3cue/
works well with MPC, WAV and Monkey's Audio APE for me too.
if You mean seamless recording though, then You could either use a CD-brurning program that supports track marking/splitting - eg. WinOnCD does it with its graphical editor, OR You could edit a text file with the extension .CUE - Cue File (mp3Cue can help here i think) and burn it with EAC:

you could use ogg vorbis and a gapless plugin for winamp
lucpes
Or you could use mpc and a gapless plugin for winamp biggrin.gif

that's funny, there is the same thread at r3mix, and we answered the other way : how to burn seamlessly, instead of ripping seamlessly.
Wel, with the two forums, he's sure to get at least one good answer smile.gif
