How is it i can't get mppenc.exe 1.14 to write ADE2.0 tags? Although i copy-pasted the command line in the first post [of the recommended settings thread] and unchecked all ID2 settings in EAC sad.gif

I started encoding mpc with mppent.exe 0.32 and tags were just fine. But i noticed it didn't support the xlevel swtich (no idea why, i'm just a basic-level user). So i switched to mppenc.exe 1.14 and that's where my probs with ADE tags started.

Anyone have a clue?

Don't you mean "APE" tags?
If so, you must also pass these fields to mppenc in the commandline box in EAC.

--tag title="%T" --artist "%A" --album "%C" --tag year="%Y" --tag genre="%I" --tag track="%N"

"track" might be some other name, but I *think* that's it...

EDIT: Ah curses, I didn't notice the recommended EAC commandline had that already in there. =/

It should be working...

This is how I have setup my EAC. And it works.

Make sure you have ID3 tags disabled.

By the way, it doesn't matter what you have selected in the "Bit rate" field. It has no influence on anything.

Edit:

Complete command line (not visible in screenshot):

--xlevel --artist "%a" --title "%t" --album "%g" --year "%y" --track "%n" %s

Edit 2:

If you are encoding with the standard preset, you don't need to specify it in the command line, since it is the default.
