anyone ever seen or heard of a cd based in dash unit for a car that suports mpc?

They don't exist, there still isn't a portable version MPC player. Been reports over the past few months of one on this forum.

I seriously doubt that MPC will get any serious manufacturer support any time soon. It just isn't widely accepted enough. If you can't prove to a hardware manufacturer that it will have an acceptably large customer base, there's no reason for this company to produce any units capable of MPC playback. On the other hand, a player with the *capacity* to play MPC should be easily possible, and if a player were built to play back AAC (a much greater possiblity), then there's a good chance its firmware could be programmed to decode MPC streams (due to the power/bandwidth that AAC requires, at least the hardware would be capable of it, I'd think). Now, many companies won't allow end users to program their own firmware, so it'd be interesting to find a company with an SDK designed for it's player.
