The supplied frontend for shorten on rarewares is shortendrop by layer3maniac (I kind of miss him here on HA.org, reading his rants was an addiction of mine for a while. I was like a guy with a sore tooth, I just couldn't help myself no matter how painful it was to see him countinually cast logic aside and countinue arguing with dibrom, johnV, garf and the like, no matter how outmatched he was . . . . but I digress . . . ) won't accept shorten.exe as the encoder, it wants shortn32.exe (presumably an older version). I tried changing the name of shorten.exe to shortn32.exe, but apparently that won't do the trick (meaning that these two versions of the encoder use different switches?? maybe?).

Well, there's no point discussing this here, since he has been banned. sad.gif

I suggest you mail him reporting the issue. His e-mail is in the about box (click on Layer3Maniac)
