RKAU development seems to be stalled. Has anyone attempted to contact the RKAU author to see what his plans are, and if he would consider releasing source code, in whatever state it may be in, to the community if he has no further commercial interest in the project?

One attempt I made to contact him about a year and a half ago received no response. Would anyone be interested in requesting some RKAU sources?

Even a decoder only release would be a great start.

As I understood from some info I gathered here and there some years ago, Malcolm is so busy that he doesn't really care about the RK project anymore.

Anyway, it would be interesting to have another option of open-source assymetric lossless coder able to compete with Monkey's, since the other famous assymetric coder (FLAC) has quite worse compression ratios.
