Hello, some people on this board use cdparanoia on their macintosh. I downloaded an article that explained how to use Unix applications with Fink. Cd Paranoia is not listed as a package. How can I get fink, if this is the correct way, to install it? Thanks

The fink packages that you need are cdrtools and then use xcdroast as a gui. CDRtools contains the cdda2wav package which will allow you to rip with the paranoia library. XCDroast is a pretty good gui once you figure it out.

You will need to enable the unstable tree to obtain xdcroast; I'm not sure if you need the unstable tree to get cdrtools.

Hope that helps,

cdda2wa v != cdparanoia

cdparanoia sorta "forked" off of cdda2wav to rip audio more aggressively. use one of the other. use cdparanoia.

CDRDAO, found here has the paranoia libraries incorporated, you could give that ago?? Secure ripping and burning!!

Cheers,
Kristian
