i currently have my lame settings at --alt-preset standard --lowpass 19.5 -mj -b112 -B256. being new to this, i'd like to hear what people think of my settings and what they're personally using.

I see that you like to crosspost...

edit: ok here you go, copy&paste:

--lowpass 19.5: Why? If you can hear the difference to an 18.7 KHz lowpass, why not use --alt-preset extreme?

-mj: Umm... default.

-b112: -b128 is used for a reason.

-B256: Do not do this with VBR. It needs some room to breathe. When 320 kbit are necessary for a section, they are necessary. If you want to reduce the bitrate, don't do it this way.

God, i sound so hostile today.. :diabolic:
