Hi, before I get down to buisness, let me first express my appreciation for all the hard work you guys have done, you have created (in my opinion) one of THE most flexable media players in existance, that allows music to sound wonderful on any soundcard.

Okay, now to the problem(s):

To put it simply, whenever F2K (0.4b43) attempts to load this component at program startup, I get a "missing .DLL" dialouge, saying that MSVCP60.dll dosen't exist in the defined paths. I would like to know what this is, and how to go about aquiring this file (as I could not find it anywhere on my HDD.)

The second issue I have, is that Foobar will occasionally revert it's config file to it's default settings, without warning. The last time this occured was when I launched a file via windows explorer, and the config file was wiped (the file was modified at the same time as the file was opened.) I hate to resort to backing up the config file every time I make a change in settings, but at least it will save the time it takes to recreate my configuration.

Thanks for the help.

Download it at http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-file...s.shtml?msvcp60 for example, itīs a runtime library for the ms compiler. And bookmark www.google.com ;-) Canīt help with the config, sorry.

Thank you. wink.gif

To solve the config problem you may want to update your version of Foobar since you are using a beta version (hence the b43 in the version string). Either grab the installer from the main site (foobar2000.org) or grab Case's special installer here (useful only if you want the option to install a whole bunch of plugins in addition to the base components).

This might help solve the config problem, or it might just add a whole bunch of new problems. B)

Yeah, I was thinking about doing this, hopefully it will solve the problem.

Although i've been having problems with Foobar not keeping it's config since v.0.6, just not as bad (previously, the config would not be saved upon program exit, it took several attempts to actually get it to write them.)

A very old beta version at that.

...No MSVCP60.dll? Sounds like either Windows 95, or NT 4.0.

Nope, i'm running Windows 2000.

And downloading the .dll did solve the problem BTW.

Correction to my comment regarding msvcp60.dll, it seems Windows XP is the first version of Windows to install that library by default.

Oh, and in case you didn't already get it from my previous post, you're running a very old beta of Foobar2000.

As of this writing, the latest "stable" release is 0.667, and the latest beta/release candidate is 0.7 RC8. foo_id3v2 has seen numerous bug fixes since that old version you're trying to use... including writing support, and plenty of bug-fixes and some user requested hacks and fixes to those damn user-requested hacks, etc. Plus, some nifty changes to the player itself.

Have fun reading the huge log of changes since your current version.
