In the last months, most of the american major retailers had offered similars "specials" like this(BestBuy, MicroCenter, CompUsa, Staples, OfficeMax, etc), on the same price range.
IMHO, the strong competition among manufacturers and the advent of the new
DVD-r/CDRW combo drives helped a lot the price drop.
BTW, The newest Lite-On received a positive review on CDR Labs tests.
