The new developer build of MP3Tag (2.13j) offers support for APE files. You can download it here.
There are also some small bug fixes since the final version was released.

Is possible to use APEv2 tag also with mp3?

It is possible, but not with MP3Tag.

2. You can actually tag mp3s with ape tags with this program. You have to change the filename to .mpc, then add the tag and then change the filename back.

There´s already another developer-build out, which fixes problems with showing the bitrate and length of APE-files tagged additionally with ID3-V2-tags and APE-files "from the future" (= generated with Monkey´s Audiocompressor V3.98 alpha). To download from HERE.

BTW: In the very very very latest dev. build of Mp3tag it supports now also writing APEv2-tags on/at/with (... or whatever) MP3´s !

WMA is now supported, too. You will need Windows Media Player 9.

Eh, what I mean is whether it is possible to add your own fieldnames with APE2-tags in Mp3tag.

use for all format BUT mp3 ..
use tag&rename for mp3 .. curious isnt'it . .

very sure and great .. already hope a tree navigation .. in place of the curious Dir selction .. and a complete view for different tag inluded in files.. ..
