OK, I know you guys will have the answer.

I've been looking for a software which will take my existing MP3 collection (stored on my hard drive in <artist>/<album>/<filename>.mp3 format) and add playlists to each album directory based on the original track order (stored in the tag, right?).

Every software I've looked at either wants to create random playlists based on genre, etc., or will generate a playlist in each directory but ONLY in alphabetical order (don't know why I would want that, but assume SOMEONE has a need for it, since I've found several downloads that would do this for me rolleyes.gif )

I've searched all over the Internet and on this site, but can't find what I need - can anyone here help me?

BTW, I've used this site extensively to create my collection (all ripped with EAC and encoded using LAME 3.90.2 -APS).

Thanks in advance!

use foobar to rename the files according to the tags. then use your program to make alphabetical playlists, which will also be in the original track order.

I use TAG for all my tagging/playlist needs.
It's a command line tool but there's a frontend (TAGGER) available, too.
You find both at http://www.audiohq.de
