But you better compare all codecs as there is ogg vorbis too!

MP3Pro will do a bit better than MP3 at 64kbps (and even then it has a very metallic sound) but is just bad for everything else. Unusable as a high-quality codec; standard MP3 is better for most music unless you need very small bitrates like 64kbps.

Interesting link. At one point, I was actually considering using WMA / MP3Pro for high bit rate files. Ha. So much for that idea! rolleyes.gif
