Wow! This morning I retagged (using Tag; thanks Case!) 3 of my CD's (after ripping and encoding them to mp3, using lame --alt-preset standard), and after the retag (first removed ID3V2 and then applied APEv2) I applied ReplayGain using FB's RG option from the Playlist menu. Select all the files and reload info from file, and guess what? Right, from VBR encoded MP3's all of a sudden (?) to CBR.

Anybody out there with a hunch of what went on there?

The MP3's don't play anymore in FB right now; I really haven't got a flippin' clue....
