Been using OggDrop a lot lately. Converting FLAC files to Ogg Vorbis.

A couple of features I could really use:

The ability to drop a directory (maybe with subdirectories) to encode everything, rather than having to go into each directory manually and selecting the files. Maybe this works already and I'm doing something wrong.

The abilty to create directories for output. That might be a bit harder.

Anyway, thanks for a great program John.

Thanks for the comments. smile.gif

ATM, it does not support the dropping of directories, only files, but it's on the TODO list.

You can already specify a different output directory. However, in the upcoming version, file renaming (which includes directory creation) will be possible using data from the FLAC tags as well as directory tree info. Also, file renaming and playlist creation will be possible without having to create tags. This should be completed within about a week. wink.gif

Wow, that's great news John. The directory creation is something that would make encoding FLACs from DVD-R much easier.

One way to get around the fact that it does not suport dropping directories is to use the Windows Search function, and search your parent music directory for all FLAC files (*.flac). Then, "Select All", and then drag them to the program. Quite easy, actually. Hope this helps.

Indeed. Why didn't I think of that? That's a great idea.
