Full Version: Can I order my recent topics by last_post_time?

Hi,

I'd like to be able to see a list of topics to which I posted, ordered by the time at which the latest reply was added to them.

So, this would be an overview where
  • there's one item per topic; not per post I put in it
  • topics that get reactions, which might be questions to me, jump to top
  • things would look like an 'Active topics'-view filtered by my username
edit: I wasn't finished but submitted already dry.gif - I found that this is actually more or less possible by going to Search and then just enter your username. But since it's such a convenient overview imho, it would be great if it becomes a one-click query, please.

I think the "Topic Subscriptions" feature might be what you're looking for. Just subscribe to each topic you reply to (check "Enable email notification of replies"), and then use the "Subscriptions => View Topics" link in your control panel to get an overview like you described. If the notification e-mails annoy you, you could filter them out in your e-mail client.

Edit: Adding this to your browser's bookmarks should work.

(Search -> More Options -> Filter by Member Name="Patsoe" ; [x] Match Exact Name ; Sort results by ...="Last Posting Date" (default))

Wow, thanks! That's pretty neat. I thought queries expired, but this one still works now.

It seems the link expires after all sad.gif Perhaps the moderators are willing to place a query like this in the top row (I personally find it more useful than 'New Posts'...)?

Well, I added this although there might be some anomalies with the topics ordering especially for older members (maybe something to do with some new db fields missing in very old topics)..
Anyway, when you are logged in, click your name in the login bar (Logged in as: Patsoe) and then click Find all topics attended by this member.

Works perfectly for me. Thank you, JohnV, it is very much appreciated!
