Using EAC (v0.9 b4) and LAME (3.90.3) and can't get
--alt-preset standard -Y
working. After ripping the compression appears to take a fraction of a second - and there is no MP3 file produced.
Was using
--alt-preset standard %s %d
successfully - but want to try
--alt-preset standard -Y
to see if I can save space without hearing any significant difference.
Is it because %s %d always need to be there?
Anyone any ideas?
You need the %s and %d (at the end, in that order)

Thanks Garf
What do they do - I think I know that the % means stereo - not sure on the s / d and order tho'?
Will get on with it now
Nothing to do with stereo.
%s = source
%d = destination
They are needed to link the encoder (LAME) up with the ripper (EAC).
