it says all my mp3s i rip are currupt but not downloaded ones, should i trust this?

Sounds to me like it assumes VBR== Corrupt.

In which case you should treat it with the contempt of a .... <fill in very offensive, contemptuous career here> smile.gif

Where in Ashampoo do you get this info? It handles my VBR files fine.

ah hah! when use crc check box is unchecked it isn't currupt, when use crc check box is checked, it is currupt (according to ashampoo software).... which should i use? should i just ignore ashampoo?

MP3s encoded with encoders based on dist10 have corrupt CRC hashes, because the dist10 code itself is corrupt.

Don't trust Ashampoo!

I've made a few comparisions with EncSpot and Feurio, and Ashampoo said that perfect MP3 files were corrupt!

It's more, don't trust any program that warns about bad files and doesn't show the position of the error.

To know the position of the error (in order to hear the problem), you can use Feurio or EncSpot Pro.
