Full Version: Encoding with leading silence?

I'm after a compiled binary for Lame which will automatically insert a second of silence before whatever audio data is supplied, or *ideally* a binary which allows me to specify a period of silence to be added, using a command line switch.

Unfortunately, I have no actual programming experience under Win32.

Alternatively, any free software which is capable of batch adding silence to the start of MP3s would be gratefully received. The only thing I can find capable is MP3TrimPRO, and I can't justify spending so much to workaround an issue with a cheap hardware player.

Nevermind! Got a working alternative of something someone else kindly posted in another part of the board...

FOR %%f IN (*.mp3) DO copy /b silence.080+"%%f" "padded/%%f.mp3" B)

Considering how simple it is, I'm surprised it took me this long to google... and yes, I know it probably wouldn't be liked if the files were tagged. But they're not.

Yay!
