Full Version: Audio compression info website needed?
Hydrogenaudio Forums > Hydrogenaudio Forum > General Audio

Hello all. I am a big fan of hydrogenaudio, but like many folks I sometimes struggle to find the answers to some basic (and not so basic) questions.

What I'm thinking of doing is making a site which gives detailed info on all the main compression formats (lossy and lossless), similar to the excellent 'modatic.net' but with more detail which I believe many people would require.

Also, there would be instructions for tasks such as changing tags on compressed files, reviews on open source software relating to audio matters etc.

It may be a silly idea, but maybe it may not be.

Any feedback welcome.

I know some people will say: You have just described Hydrogenaudio.org, but I mean a site which is not purely a forum.

Under construction, but already quite useful.
